Global Academy for International Athletics, Inc

The Global Academy

The Global Academy for International Athletics, the owner of ULTRA, was conceived at Harvard under under the stimulation of Professor Anne Roe who challenged the entering doctoral students to create a new educational system that would replace what she perceived as an out-dated system that educated well only a tiny minority of privileged students.

The Academy evolved over the years and was invited in 2009 by the National Olympic Committee of Albania to establish its headquarters in Albania.

Originally designed on Plato’s model, the Academy is still evolving and will typically begin with day schools for children ages 3 ½ and up.  The residential academy will initiate students into the Academy on their 12th birthday.

The Academy hopes to establish at least one center in 2012, at least two in 2013, and multiply to the point that every continent is served by at least four residential facilities.  More details are available at www.gaiaschool.info.
